this book was so so cute i loved it
just to offer some context i read this in the last day of winter break and i said to myself “okay i have school tomorrow so i’ll go to bed early, to get at least 8 hours of sleep” well…. it’s safe to say that i fell asleep around 4am but HEY at least i finished the book
it was THAT good

This book is romance that tells the story of Liz, a girl who has believed and dreamed of an epic romance story, and Wes, the popular, well loved guy who for some reason is always messing with Liz. Not in cute way, in a always-stealing-the-parking-spot way. Since they were little, they had this competition going on, which could annoy the other one better.
But as Liz’s childhood crush comes back to town, she has to find a way he could fall deeply in love with her and they could live the happily ever after story from the movies she loves, and the only way to get that seems to be fake dating Wes.

Liz, my love, she was like fr like how could she not? if you gave her good music, books and films she was happy, ME TOO.
she represents all of us girlies who spent their lives reading books and watching movies about epic love stories, who dream of one day be the main character in one of them, who hope to find their “soulmate”, the person that understands them and loves them all the way.
the ONLY thing i “disliked” about her was the fact that she loved The Ugly Truth and i despise that film :|

Loved her dynamic with J , and i might be wrong but something was definitely going on between her and noah at prom so maybe another book is coming…?!

One of my favorite parts about this book was the way it dealt with grief. Loved reading about Liz’s relationship with her mum, their little habits, their hobbies, their jokes, their clothes and their moments together. What i loved even more was seeing the development of the relationship between Liz and Helena, i think it was well written and thought of, it felt so realistic and such an important topic that every day is more common.

Wes, i loved his character so much, he was so funny, so caring, so teasing, it was so obvious from the start he was completely wiped and i LOVED every single second of it.

Their relationship was the cutest, their banterrr i loved it, the late night calls, when they watched miss congeniality together, the night when they were watching the starts, when they went shopping, the scene in the restaurant and then in the carrrr. amazing, perfection, got me kicking my feet and everything. they were adorable.

an amazing book, a cute and fluffy love story that will leave you all smiley and blushing but also deals with grief and the loss of a loved one.
