An Inheritance of Curses by Dee J. Holmes

4.0

We get Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, and Fey ....

When Rose is headed to her aunts shop whose exile from the family coven she stumbles upon other creatures from the different magical houses in the basement in cages. She Knows if she doesn't free them they could die because she feels the blood magic all around the basement in which will be bad and could start a war amongst the house. If she does help she'll break the peace treaty that was signed by the four houses after the last war by combining magic to free the Fey, Wolves, and Vampire.

In the beginning of the book I loved how the author described each house and who they were and why... The FMC she had a lot indecisiveness and sometimes annoying., but she redeemed herself when she rose to the occasion when they really needed her. The story is from different POV's in which another thing I loved about the book. The different POV's you got to experience what was happening from their prospective as well with more depth for things that wasn't happening to FMC. The world building was seen throughout the book and as the added new side characters they all fell into place. The forbidden love mate troupe was build upon and at the same time sad because this wasn't a HEA this was a building towards book 2 in which I just want my favs to get together and crush their enemies. I enjoyed this book and really my only gripe is i wish certain conflicts were extended especially the fighting to get a battle fight that was epic. Other than that I am going to purchase book 2 because this was a great Urban Fantasy.
