Honestly I love this book more than the first. I enjoyed Tella more as a point of view character.
This story did feel a little bit too similar to the first with Caraval and the love interest. The world building and theFates set up was very interesting.
Also I had to check but I already suspected Legend being Dante in the first book. His death in it did throw me off a little at the time. Him being the lost heir clicked as soon as it was revealed they were a he.
I gotta say I'm disliked the way Scarlett and Julian story was going and whatever Scarlett was doing during the game. I hate that the Count is still something she's interested in. Just let it die! Also Julian still lying. He never learns sadly.
Excited to go into the third book soon.
