This poetry book is easily digestible and fun to read. I have learned recently there is immense beauty and importance in written word that doesn’t leave the reader feeling condescended and exhausted.
Some of my favorite poems were natural remedies, so relatable, keep them on their toes, when you’re lonely ask a stranger for time, for the ones who stayed, against soulmates, object permanence, and for the one you don’t know how to help.
I’m giving 3 stars, however, because the themes, pace, structure, and wording all feel very similar to so many other poetry books I’ve read. It’s not particularly memorable to me and I probably won’t keep it on my shelf. But I still enjoyed reading it!
