The character’s excellent story is one thing - Jedi on the run after Order 66 - but the way they ORGANIZED the sequence of events? When to jump to the present and when to flashback, and also WHERE to flash back, I found masterfully clever.
Opening the first volume with the clones having such sweet banter with Caleb and Depa and THEN receiving the order was heartrending. I adORE the art style for these issues as well. The volume includes pages of alternate covers (as comic volumes tend to do) which are diverse in style and all equally appealing and splendid. I also found the art style more consistent than the Windu comics overall. Characters appear to be drawn the same way. Idk whether this is due to less collaboration with other comic artists on the same volume of work or not, but it kinda helped my head latch onto these characters since they had a consistent face.
Recommend to any fan of Rebels, or those who have yet to start it, like me!
