This one kind of toes that line between fun lighthearted, but also with some pretty serious themes; I’d say read your trigger warnings and if there are no red flags for you, you should have a good time. It’s kind of grumpy/grumpy versus grumpy/sunshine, which for me personally is not a huge preference, but the writing, as usual from this author, is good and the story is fun and cute and I think I’ll probably end up reading this entire series as they come out.
