I usually don’t annotate my books but I felt called to with this one! I appreciated this in-depth look at the cause and effect of gun violence in schools and understanding the perspectives of the parents, students, and community affected by these tragedies. I almost chocked this book up to being a “school shooter sympathizer” but the more I kept reading, the more I kept thinking “This is so messed up, but I get it”. I don’t think it needed to be as long as it was.
Graphic: Bullying, Gun violence, Violence, Mass/school shootings
Minor: Domestic abuse, Drug abuse, Sexual assault, Car accident
