The Love Story of Missy Carmichael by Beth Morrey

3.0

First, I love that this is about a 79 year old woman and I love that it's a happy story. I always have a little bit of difficulty believing in the voice of someone a lot different than the author (older, different gender or race, etc) and I did have that problem here too. The characters including the narrator are not fully developed/completely believable and the good things that happen also stretch belief a little. Still, I really enjoyed reading it anyway: we need a lot more hopeful stories like this and we really need more books that focus on love after age 50 and love other than romantic love.
