God of Fury: Special Edition Print by Rina Kent

Overall rating: 5/5
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ms. Kent.... you have blown me away with this one...... despite that weird beginning, this is probably gonna be my favorite book in the series. I loved it so much more than God of Malice and I'm so happy I didn't give up on this series.

TBH I don't really know how to make cohesive reviews so this will be a lot of word vomit. Now. I didn't have too many expectations when reading this book as the first one was a fucking fever dream but this book blew me out of the water. I enjoyed the characters relationship dynamic SO MUCH and I loved how it was an opposites attract kind of thing. I didn't really see it as a "dark romance" after comparing it to the first book and while in God of Malic the main couple "matched each others freak (not in a good way)" Niko and Bran made each other better.
Bran is probably one of my favorite male main character's, right next to Neil from AFTG (not including male love interest from other books) i actually enjoyed reading about. Because, call me a misandrist or whatever, but I LOATH having a guy as the main character of a book. I LOATH it. So the fact that loved Bran so much SPOKE VOLUMES. His struggle with his mental health and self image was so real and raw. I loved how the author described it and related it to painting. Not to mention, his struggle with his sexuality. I related to him so much as when I was first coming to terms with my sexuality I always felt like there was something wrong with me. Bran is such a grumpy lil cinnaroll and I want to protect him with my whole heart.
As for Niko... he was such a great character and Bran really tamed him well LMAO. He was always seen as a scary monster from other characters POV and I love how the author chose to make him in a sunshine-like character around Bran. He wanted to do better, be better with Bran and even when he was lowkey being an asshole to him it was because he was coming from a place of hurt. Being with someone who was in the closet is no easy thing and I loved that Ms. Kent didn't diminish Nikos hurt feelings.
Now I will say the dialogue was a bit corny at times but the banter between Niko and Bran made it worth it. I ate up every interaction they had. This book honestly spoke to how sometimes, love can get you out of a bad place and give you the confidence to want to get better. Obviously loving oneself is important but the love Niko and Bran shared made their story so much better.
Also Grace.... when I catch you grace... when i catch you.... (ง•̀.•́)ง (ง•̀.•́)ง FUCK GRACE that raggedy grooming raping bitch... I'm so glad she died at the end of the book because if something didn't happen I was gonna start a riot
i don't know if any other book in the series will top this couple but this restores my hope and expectations for the author. I'm excited to start another book in this series.... I probably won't be reading it in order but we'll see.
