Kiss & Tell by Adib Khorram
4.0

Adib Khorram is a masterful writer and once again wrote an absolute delight of a book with Kiss & Tell. This book was so fun and captivating that I finished it in one sitting. It features such refreshing representation and includes some very important themes.

Y'all know how much I love a good celebrity book and this one includes another thing that I love to see in books, the inclusion of internet culture! I love when books include news articles, text messages, and various social medias!

I will say that I wasn't really a fan of any of the romance in this book. I was mostly reading for Hunter's development and the Igbt content. Both romances that Hunter has a part in are extremely toxic and not something that I wanted to root for. I almost wished he would have ended up by himself at the end of the book.

The final thing I will say is how much I enjoyed a book about queer teenagers getting to be queer and have fun. It was very special to me. But I loved that the author also showed the sometimes dark side of that. We see the boxes that gay people are sometimes put in and how they occasionally are reduced to being performative. It reminded me of everything Jojo Siwa has been having to deal with lately and I think it's a very important conversation to have. Life can be very hard for gay teenagers.
