A Fire in the Flesh by Jennifer L. Armentrout
dark
tense
slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? Character
- Strong character development? Yes
This book talks extensively about sexual assault. Please take care of yourself.
This book gives very different vibes than the previous 2. It talks a lot more about bodily autonomy and consent/controlling others for power, rather than controlling others as an attempt to keep them safe. It also is much slower with a focus on mind games than physical prowess, as such we see less sword fighting, but we get a lot more emotional vulnerability that I feel makes up.
