I am having such a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that this is a debut novel. Honestly, the way this book was clearly for the girls and hit everything that I love. I just cannot. I am on board for the entirety of the series because, just like those fish Cece was catching, consider me hooked!

Let’s start with the environment of the story. There are all the cozy small town vibes expected and it was just so nice to see close friendships. Also, Nash going back to the town he grew up in and becoming involved with local commerce was just cute to see. The idea that everyone would know by dinner if you did something in public was truly just small town vibes and I was living for it. If you like small town, this book has the vibes you’re wanting for sure!

Nash and Cece’s relationship development was great to see. Starting out as a situationship, there was a lot going on there. Clearly there was physical tension, but there was also so much history between them and Nash was already such a big part of her family that the dynamics couldn’t be ignored. Then, as feelings grew, it was just amusing to watch both of them try to pretend like they weren’t in fact falling head over heels for each other.

And Nash. Nash Nash Nash. He is 100% that protective guy with a dirty mouth that the people want as a book boyfriend. He’s kind, he’s caring, and he says the absolute filthiest things behind closed doors. The man is 100000% book boyfriend material and he’s going to be one I reference for a while I’m sure!

This story has a good relationship, fun side relationships, small town feels, and it just gives such a great kick off to the series. I’m already invested in all of the other men of Silver Pines (I see you Ashby brothers 😉). If you like part time cowboys, best friend’s siblings trope, and a man who will lick bourbon off a 🐱, this book is for you!

Thank you for the ARC and if you need readers for the rest of the series, I’m your gal!!
