This book should be mandatory reading for all young women. I wish it existed when I graduated college in the 90s; Sandberg does a wonderful job urging women to allow themselves to "lean in" to their careers and into leadership opportunities without ever sounding preachy. I was impressed by her candor, her use of personal anecdotes and willingness to make herself vulnerable as she shares the wisdom of her successful career and loving family. My life and career will never be Sandberg's, but I found this book infinitely readable, poignant, and relatable. I sent a copy to my younger cousin as soon as I finished reading it. I also want to add that I think it's a marvelous book for men to read as well; to see what goes into many of the expectations and pressures facing the women in their lives. Sandberg credits her own success largely to her beloved husband, who is a partner in all areas of their marriage. So, in short, read this book!
