Obviously an immediate read for me, but I was sucked into the story just as much as I have been for every other one in the series. This book has some of the expected intensity and violence that marks the rest of the books before it, but the story was much more centered on the emotional and internal journey's of the characters. Jean's backstory was pretty well fleshed out in the previous book, so this time it was so much more about how he is dealing with all the fall out after the initial culture shock of becoming a Trojan. Along side that was a lot more of information about Jeremy's life, family, and the subsequent trauma. There is so much more deep character work here that was great. Also I am obsessed with the continued outside view of the Foxes. The chapter where the team is watching the Foxes first game was thrilling and just so amazing. Again Nora has done an excellent job at continuing the story of the Foxes but not letting them take over the journey of Jean and Jeremy. I think there is only one book left and I will be waiting for it with great anticipation.
