Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid

4.0

monotoned with a slow sort of cadence - easy reading, no clever or lyrical writing, but a story that kept me wondering what will happen next. the characters were mostly lacking voice, like you could pull a random quote and i wouldn't know who said it. i did like the romance, the villains made me so mad for lady macbeth i was rooting for her vengeance, and the medieval atmosphere was a vibe

i am not familiar with Macbeth so the departure from the source didn't bother me, i dunno if i'd read another ava reid book, i think i enjoyed this one so much just because i enjoy medieval fairy tale moments so much
