The Beautiful Ones centres around Loisail’s socialites and young Nina hopes to join the ranks. By staying with her well connected cousin and his calculating wife Nina believes this is her chance to fall in with the glitz and glamour. With the season underway Nina is already struggling to maintain her telekinesis, for which her neighbours call Witch of Oldhouse, and rumours fly about town. But when flashy entertainer Hector arrives Nina is mesmerized, for he’s telekinetic like her. With Hectors help, her powers develop and her love for him deepens. But Hector has a secret, a secret that may break Nina’s heart and reputation.

Silvia Moreno Garcia has been such a treat to find and read! Her writing is flawless and spans so many genres. From fantasy to horror to period romance and historical fiction. The Beautiful Ones was filled with old timey glamour and fashion. The descriptions rich and the story was multifaceted. I enjoyed the point of view switches and loved Nina’s determination and spirit. Ultimately, this is not a genre for me but I know many of you would love it!

For fans of Bridgerton with a splash of magic I recommend The Beautiful Ones. Thank you @torbooks for sending a copy my way, 3✨.
