I don’t usually gravitate toward nonfiction, but The Art Thief really pulled me in. Michael Finkel’s writing strikes the perfect balance between informative and engaging, making the story of Stéphane’s quiet but astonishing string of heists feel almost like a novel. It was fascinating to follow how he managed to pull off so many thefts under the radar, and equally compelling to watch how it all unraveled. A sharp, entertaining read that surprised me in the best way.
