I honestly don't even know where to begin. It took me years to finally get myself to start this, I wish I read it sooner, but it's too late now.

There was so much I could relate to, especially on the smaller, seemingly minuscule details. This book makes me miss being 15 while simultaneously glad I never have to go back. It made me miss it, then immediately would remind me of the pain that came with it. I also grew up/still live in the desert (tho it's Arizona, not Texas) so that much was so...bittersweet to read. Nothing to do with friends but go out to the desert, yeah.

It was just so cute, whilst still having serious moments. It's been a while since I've had a 5 star read so this was soooo refreshing. I may be above the targeted age demographic now, but it doesn't undermine that for the age rating this is, it's just perfect. I'm reading and reviewing this with my 16 year old heart
