I enjoyed this story quite a bit up until the ending. There were plenty of claustrophobic, creepy parts throughout James and Amelia exploring the house that were fun to read, and I love an ambiguous story where you're left to interpret things for yourself, but the end just felt a little goofy to me.

I think I almost would have liked it better if we never actually got to "see the monster" and just kept it unknown 🤷🏻‍♀️
