Caged by Bella Matthews is a lovely friends-to-lovers sports romance. Caged is a phenomenal start to the new Defiant Kings series! Maddie and Hudson are my new favorite couple in the Kroydon Hills universe. When you’re a Kingston, your life revolves around hockey, football, or MMA and Hudson is the reigning world light heavyweight champion. Maddie is a brilliant social-media manager and yoga instructor. Maddie’s backstory broke my heart; she is a strong, truehearted, sweet soul. Tensions rise when an incident forces Maddie and Hudson into close quarters. I loved the way Bella built up the crackling chemistry between them in this slow-burn love story. The way Maddie is already a big part of the Kingston crew and how they bring her into the family fold is very sweet. Caged has everything; flirty banter, an alluring heroine, a hot MMA fighter hero, and Kingston family shenanigans. One of the most tight-knit big families, I adore the way the Kingston siblings rally together. If you like a sporty friends-to-lovers with a twist, you’ll love Caged by Bella Matthews!
