Moonflower Murders
by Anthony Horowitz
Wow, just wow. Horrowitz continues to top himself. This may be my favourite of his mysteries I've read thus far. Once again we are given two novels for the price of one, both mysteries equally compelling. I don't know where to begin with this one, all I can say is it was compelling and gripping from the start. By the final 3rd of the book, I was frantically flipping back and forth through the pages (and my notes....yes I was that invested) piecing together this ingenious puzzle.
Once the reveal happens it just seems so obvious. Prior to finishing the last chapter I found myself thinking how I wish Horrowitz would use some of the same clues his author Conway used in his last novel - Magpie Murders. Low and behold in the final pages he reveals a huge obvious clue that was a slap in the face in the best possible way.
I love mysteries and puzzles and this was both which the reader can actually solve if the right clues are followed. Great read and great fun
