wow... WOW I didn't enjoy that nearly as much as I thought I would.
While, I liked the movie, I was aware of how poorly some parts aged (and stuff Scott did were always shitty) but while the movie has spectacle and bright colours/the soundtrack to save it, the graphic novel (this edition anyway) is in black and white, so there's not much spectacle or much aesthetic at all.
Scott is an asshole. A 23 year old adult dating a 17 year old high school student... then cheats on her with Ramona, whom he stalked
I think a non-graphic novel might have been better, to get inside his head. The side characters are better, as they are in the movie.
