Alluring Abyss is the last book from K.E. Osborn's Royal Bastards MC: Tampa, FL series and I am very sad to see it go but glad it ended on a good note. I've read all the RBMC chapters and this one is one of my favorites. This MC is different from the others in some ways. I mean Toxin can I say more? Though I love that girl. She's my favorite character.
This book is about Ominous and Scarlet. It starts 6 years in the past when all Ominous's problems start. He a military man in the special forces on a mission in the Middle East with his best friend's Jed and Charli McEvoy. Everything is going great until it's not. Charli and him are the only ones that make it home. That's when Ominous' joined the Royal Bastards and said he'd never have a relationship or get close to a woman. He suffered some extreme PTSD and was scared he'd do something to hurt them. Scarlet is a bartender at the clubs bar. She has seen Ominous at his best and at his worst and she doesn't care. She still wants him and pursues him until he gives in.
Scarlet gets attacked one night and Ominous steps in to protect her and lands himself in jail for 90 days. He shuts Scarlet out having her be told he was protecting her. But the threat wasn't against Scarlet. It was a ploy to get to Ominious and he finds out why while he's in jail. Some ghosts really are real. When Ominious gets out of jail he sets things right and takes care of the threat.
Scarlet and Ominious are perfect together. And having Charli POV in it with Oaklyn by her side. The twists and mystery are really good in this one also. It kept me guessing until the end and all was revealed. I gave this book a 5 star rating and definitely recommend this book to all MC readers. It's sad to see the series come to an end but I've really enjoyed getting to know all the characters from all the books.
