I want to say that I enjoyed this book, because I enjoy Kobo Abe and I love dream-like books. But in all honesty, I found it an incredibly painful slog that lost me after 50 pages. The rest of it made no sense to me at all and I only finished it out of a sense of duty. I don't know what happened or what any of it meant.
