A Cryptic Clue by Victoria Gilbert

2.0

This was a perfect book for reading in bed en route to falling asleep. To my delight, I did not figure out 'whodunit' till the killer was exposed. On the other hand, at some point I stopped reading every word and began to skip over some explanations as I lost interest in the characters and setting, and simply wanted to know the outcome. This didn't feel like a mystery for adult readers so much as an entry to mysteries for young adults. Nonetheless, it was okay for my purposes (see opening sentence).
