"The fate of the kingdom is riding on them" 🐎👑
Arranged marriage? ✅
A cursed prince who turns into a horse by day? ✅
A refreshing non brawny MMC that get saved by the FMC ✅
Great bisexual representation ✅
As someone who loved the My Lady Jane series, I was immediately excited to read this one.
The writing style was cosy and the characters were endearing, each with their own unique quirks that made them feel real and relatable.
Bianca's strength and vulnerability were particularly compelling, and I enjoyed how the story explored Bianca's relationship with her illness and how she coped with it, as well as how her and Aric navigated their complicated marriage.
Unfortunately I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing by the end. The story had so much potential, but the tension didn’t quite hit the mark for me, and I found myself wishing for a little more stakes and less repetitive travelling moments.
I give this a ⭐⭐⭐.25 stars as it was enjoyable and would recommend picking this one up if you're even vaguely interested because it was a very fun cosy read.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc of this one 🫶🏻
