Thor: God of Thunder, Volume 1: The God Butcher by Jason Aaron

2.0

I don't get it? I found this terribly unappealing. It was boring and thinly-plotted. "Hahahaha! I'm evil! I'll kill everyone and save you for last...and it's all your fault. Ha!" Lame. Clearly, Gorr was butchering gods before he ever bumped into Thor, and even if he upped his game because Thor is the one who got away, he's responsible for his own actions. So we're treated to a cycle of blood and gore, and dead gods in three timelines, and very little sense. I found the art okay, though I'm not much of a fan of veiny super detail in my art or my Thor arms.

Needs more Loki.

I picked this up at random from the New Book Shelf at the library. I had no expectations for it, and finally got around to reading it because I have so many holds coming in that I'm about to reach the check-out limit at the library and need to return something.
