It's no secret, I love a good hockey romance and Kings of the Ice is certainly a very promising series. It's one of those series where you already get attached to all characters and are excited for everyone's stories. I really enjoyed the first book and it ended up in a way that made you crave the second one instantly!

Read if you like:
~ hockey romance
~ forced proximity
~ dislike to love
~ work relationship
~ he falls first

This story was gooooooood, like very good. The first encounter really made me laugh and it certainly gave the vibe for our character's relationship. They had good chemistry and even more great banter. The forced proximity was chef's kiss. Vince fell so hard and it was really delightful to see. The way Maven kept pushing him away got old after a while though. I get she had trauma from past experiences but it was a bit frustrating how she kept refusing to open her eyes and try to be happy a little instead of breaking everyone's heart, hers included.

The fact that our two MMCs were in kind of a work relationship added to the fun because it felt a bit like a forbidden/secret romance, which I always enjoy. As much as I loved Vince, I have to be honest and say that I did not forgive him some of his actions...
I'm a resentful bitch and the whole getting the other jealous by having people on you until the point where she cries made me really mad. And not only did this happen once but... TWICE! She already has trust issues with your type could you please try to help your case a little... ugh... anyways.

So yeah, I did enjoy this one a lot and will continue the series for sure!
