When all is said and done, I loved this story. I would warn readers going into this, it isn’t your normal every day romance. This story is dense. It has so much richly detailed dialogue and emotion.

I’d almost classify this as intelligent erotica.

Because of that emotional weight, it was difficult for me to get through. It made me uncomfortable, it was lyrical and almost poetic in prose. The first chapter threw me for a loop, and didn’t match the next few chapters. I was confused.

But then the end came, and it was like the most beautiful light shown down on the story, and I was once again deeply impressed with Charlotte Stein’s writing.

Her heroes are always amazing. Giant in stature, sensitive in heart. And those intimate scenes. Holy hell!

This story had humor, insecurities, raw vulnerabilities, and wonderful communication. Ends with such a lovely hea.

Why not five stars? Because the first chapter felt unnecessary and weird. Because at times, the plot felt disjointed and occasionally awkward. But when it was good, it was so good.
