Weddings, Crushes, and Other Dramas by Emily McKay
4.0
Thank you to Chapter by Chapter and NetGalley for the chance to review this book.
I read the first one so I had the background on the book. It did help things make a little bit more sense in the end. Since this book is part of a series, I felt like there were a few things I was missing because I hadn't read the other books. It's just small things, but I think these make more sense when read cohesively. I'm just someone who likes to have the whole picture.
Willa and Finn are pretty cute. It's a little complicated since their parents are getting married, so that was weird. I'm just not someone who's ever really liked the whole step sibling romance dynamic. However, this book makes it less weird. There's no creepy family bonding going on and they both know they aren't exactly supposed to be together. But sometimes feelings happen and you can't squash them away.
This was a quick read and pretty cute. Overall, I did like this book. It was well written and the story was sweet.
