If you’re not someone who can appreciate dry humor I wouldn’t attempt this graphic novel. That being said, this is a retelling of Kafkas The Castle The Trial. I absolutely loved this. You can’t help but feel bad for the MC as he goes from book shop to book shop attempting to promote his book, when no one shows up to the signings. Any of them, if not one or two people. He wrongly gets accused of murder (multiple times) but luckily at the end is set free as it’s been proven he didn’t kill anyone. His reactions to each accusation is met with complete confusion and when he is set free, he tells the police “I know who did it!” And they don’t want to hear it. They call him a thief for “stealing another mans work” and are upset when he’s signed his own books for the guards when they aren’t of that much value because he ✨isn’t the killer✨
