Yadriel's family Has been able to see and deal with spirits for generations. He's coming of age, and is determined to join their important work, but first he must prove to everyone that he's a boy and that being transgender doesn't pose a problem to his powers. I greatly enjoyed this book filled with spirits, magic, romance, and Hispanic Culture. The characters are great fun, and I really enjoyed seeing how the story played out. This is a great October read, but it's fine for any other time of year too.
