This book is a quick read; I read it in one sitting, and it’s a great one for getting over a reading slump. In fact, I usually turn to Gaiman when I’m weary of books and thinking and imagination. He gets me excited about stories again. His books are filled with so much contrast and paradox—innocence and cruelty, love and hate, the horrific  and the wholesome, new and old, known and unknown—they just swallow you up. And when you read an especially inspiring or poetic sentence, he makes you feel like you thought of it yourself. It’s rather wonderful.
So yah. Read this. It’ll make you feel like a child and an ancient being all at once.
