This was such a rough start on my side. I was always on the precipice of 'is this okay?' and 'that was hot'. I had to constantly remind myself that this was a DARK romance series I'm about to start. Overall though, a really strong start to the series.
Book One and I am already on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what the actual fuck happened to Scarlett before everything else. How did she lose her memories? How was their relationship as teenagers? What does her parents do to her or did to her back then? What is her mission and what specifically must she get done?
Usually within a reverse harem series, the tag-teaming happens near the end, when the harem has established their relationships within one another and are standing on solid grounds. But this one railed my expectations down the train track as we directly got that in the middle of the first book to the series. The scene had me questioning my morals but was then settled down again as we got to know that Scarlett wanted it to happen too. So, yeah, that part was kinda hard for me in the beginning.
But once past that, I've finally gotten the grasp of how dark this is going to be, it was just straight on HOT TOWN. I can't wait to see these men down on their knees and begging to her instead.
