Misadventures of a Virgin
by Meredith Wild
“I wanted you, June. You can’t possibly know how much,” he says softly. “I had no idea you’d wait for me.”
June Bell has always had her heart set on being with Kase McCaster and after one great kiss she was convinced their time had come. However, when Kase leaves town without looking back June is heartbroken over what could have been. Throwing herself into the family business of running the hotel in their small town of Falls Edge she loses the opportunity to get close to anyone since Kase. When Kase returns 4 years later all of those feelings she has been trying to push down come right back to the surface. She never would have thought he had been having the same feelings about her after all this time.
This was the first taste I had with the Misadventure series starting it on Wattpad and so when it was free on iBooks I had to grab it. The story captured my attention right away and I couldn’t wait to read more. I have to be honest I’ve been loving all the books Misadventure series and this one was no exception. June’s innocence of going from a heartbroken teen to a woman who knows what she wants was so real and natural that it was a pleasure to read. A book about a virgin can go one of two ways overly ridiculous or sweet and caring and this was certainly sweet and caring.
Oh how I loved Kase from his domineering ways to his caring sweet demeanor. When he comes back to town he makes a deal to sell his land and farm to June’s father as long as June stays with him on his farm uninterrupted for two weeks. He certainly is experience and ready to show June everything he has always wanted to do to her, but at the same time making sure it was special for her. Knowing that he had very little time with June he was determined to make the most of it not only showing her how special the farm was but also what was building between each other.
There is so much June still doesn’t know about the feud between the Bell’s and the McCasker’s and it might just be enough to tear them apart. This story had heat, love and lies and all together was a great combination that I loved! If you haven’t read any of the Misadventure series I highly suggest this one, plus it’s written by Meredith Wild so how could you go wrong.
“Thank you,” he whispers. “For making every new day the best day of my life. For trusting me when I was too scared to trust anyone.”
