Zipped through this. He remains excellent at pacing, etc. But couple of decisions in this one were difficult to accept. (No spoilers.) One went against everything we’ve been told about Cross (it’s book 25, come on, you can’t throw that in NOW), and the other was just... massively stupid, maybe? I just didn’t buy that would be Cross’s strategy.
Anyway. A decent read, tripped up by two odd decisions. Well written otherwise.
