Beneath the Stars by A.L. Jackson

5.0

Oh the way the author would weave the words together , felt like poetic music. I've wondered why authors that write about a musician and write such beautiful song lyrics in their stories don’t write songs for real singers. AL Jackson has that beautiful talent!
This is a story of 2 people who have so much chemistry, so much love and attraction to each but because of their stories, their situations, they feel like they cannot be together. I loved Rhys, he is the ultimate gentleman, so loving, gentle and kind. He's broken, he's got a past that he cannot run from and Maggie, She also comes from a traumatic past but she is so strong. Maggie gets beat down but always stands taller. They finally come to the realization that they cannot stay apart, their love is just too deep but , they can't tell anyone, especially Maggie's brother Royce. He is soooo protective of her . He tries so hard to be such a good brother to her.
The story is this rollercoaster of emotions and you think its going in one direction and it totally turns. Could not stop reading! Had to keep going , to find out what is going to happen!
