Batman: Knightfall, Vol. 2: Knightquest by Chuck Dixon, Doug Moench, Alan Grant, Jo Duffy

4.0

For a story that doesn't have Bruce Wayne, this is one of the most fascinating entries of the Dark Knight. This time we follow Azrael as he takes Batman's mantle. While I didn't love every single one of his stories, it was fascinating to see him move further and further into a dark path. Also, some of his run-ins with famous characters like the Joker and Catwoman offer some of the most entertaining stories (I loved them as much as some of Batman: The Animated Series' best episodes).

However, this was also a missed opportunity to develop Tim Drake's character further. Every time he appeared, I was hoping they would flesh him out more, but unfortunately this was a one-man show with Jean Paul Valley.
