I remembered really liking this one in high school but honestly now I didn’t really enjoy it. I didn’t even like this one as much as Tom Sawyer. I didn’t mind Huck, but outside of Jim, every character he encountered was either frustrating or annoying. Especially Tom. His antics in his novel were charming, but in this one they were just annoying. Even with the gotcha at the end, he just drove me crazy. I am now even more curious what James did with this story and how much it will change my impressions of it.
