I feel like after the middle book was a little slow to start for me I kind of didn't know what to expect from this one but I became invested fairly early on. I feel like in this one and throughout the series we see some real growth from Millie as she deals with the fact that she's still kind of a disaster but this time she's owning it and trying to do her best to come out of things in a positive way. I think as the end of the trilogy this was fitting in that it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns but felt very real. I think the author's note said it best when it mentioned that going through the dark times is worth it to see where you end up when you've come through.
