Funny story there is another author named Jenny Zhang that was coming out with a book around the same time as this one that also focused on Chinese American/Chinese characters (I now know that one is called Four Treasures of the Sky) that I was really excited to have come out and I saw this book and thought it was that one and bought it but turns out it wasn't and this one was really good anyways.

Loved the stories and characters and wondered a lot if my mother and grandmother would relate to any of the stories shared. I def did
