The prose in this book is gorgeous, it’s so well written. The way it describes grief, the way that it’s the widower writing to his dead wife, was so visceral and emotional.
Some things are unclear and don’t make sense, but unsure if that is my misreading things or the book just not being clear. I don’t think it matters to much as the journey is more important than the destination.
The ending seemed to come out of nowhere and then the story was over? A little bit unfulfilled in that respect, but the content of the writing made up for it, in my opinion. Not like anything else I’ve ever read.
Graphic: Animal cruelty, Animal death
