LOVE THIS BOOK! It's so cute and heartwarming and realistic and I cried happy tears at the end. I feel like enemies to lovers is either a hit or miss but this really just hit the nail on the head. Gus was amazing but JANUARY was the star of the show. I have never identified with a character more and from the beginning when she was talking about the difference between fiction and women's fiction I was like "This girl is reading my exact thoughts and opinions verbatim, are we the same person?!" Overall great read, would definitely recommend, and I am no longer in a reading slump!
Graphic: Sexual content and Death of parent
Moderate: Cancer, Infidelity, Violence, and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Alcohol
January's dad recently died and she moves to his beach house to clear it out and prepare it to be sold (not a spoiler it's the background for why she moves there in the first place). Romance book so be prepared for sexual content/scenes. January's mom had cancer. January's dad cheated on her mom and Gus' wife left him for the best man at the wedding. Gus' father physically abused him as a child/throughout his teens. Gus and January are doing research for his book about a cult so they talk to people whose family died in a fire at a cult headquarters.
