Quarantined Hearts by Bee Murray
5.0
It's pretty rare that I read a book all in one day, but I devoured this one! Whew!!! *fanning self* This is a fantastic standalone MMF romance that is both a delightful distraction and surprisingly deep.
I loved Monroe's nickname of Roe, and I loved how take-charge she was of her own pleasure. She meets Kellen at the bar, and they go home for a one-night stand that turns into something more when they're locked in together for a quarantine.
Kellen's long-term boyfriend disappeared on him, but when he makes a sudden reappearance, sparks fly... in more ways than one! You see, he has history with our FMC... And it ain't pretty.
The conflict is believable, the sex scenes are super hot, and the story is well thought out!
I appreciated that the BDSM aspects were treated with appropriate attention to detail. The real-life scene is a lot more like what's depicted in this book, from what I understand. ;) There should always be informed consent and upfront negotiation, people!
Only one thing drove me nuts, and it was about the writing style: I marked it as a spoiler in case you don't want to find out til afterward, so you aren't fixated on it the whole book like I was.
Happy reading! Just don't start this one late at night or you'll be up well past bedtime!
