I found that the first half of this book of short stories to have my favorite ones, the stories are a little bizarre, set in a strange-yet-familiar world and pack a big punch in terms of social commentary on race and consumerism (among others).
Some of the stories I just couldn't get into, or were a little out of left field for me in their tone/overall plot. The second half of the short stories were more horror adjacent with some wacky elements and not my favorite personally although some were quite good.
Overall a decent read.
