I first fell in love with Lauren Graham on Gilmore Girls. I fell in love with her again on Parenthood. She is one of my favorites, and I was delighted when she decided to dip her toe into the book world. She made her debut with Someday, Someday Maybe, a sweet and charming look into the world of a young actress trying to make a go of it. Frances Banks has 6 months left in her 3 year deadline to "make it as an actress in NYC or go home". We follow her successes and failures over the course of those last six months. I really liked Franny and couldn't help but feel like I was getting a look into the early years of Graham's career. Franny was funny and disarming and this was a perfect relaxing on the 4th of July quick read.
