Savage Appetites: Four True Stories of Women, Crime, and Obsession by Rachel Monroe

dark informative fast-paced

4.0

At first, I didn’t like how much of the author’s personal voice existed within the text. Then, as it went on, I realized that her personal voice is part of the entire point. She’s talking about these women’s relations to true crime and death, and how it’s extreme versions of many women’s fascination. While I understand her journalistic non bias, I do wish she had been a little more scrutinizing of the women who obsess and fangirl over real murders.
