Make Me Want by Katee Robert

3.5 stars.

This was just the thing I needed. Quick, steamy, and an overall easy read. I didn't connect with the characters extremely well, but they were both likable enough. Lucy was an awesome attorney, with intelligence. She was also a reader of romance novels, which I liked. Gideon was an alpha hero, and sometimes so much so, it annoyed me. I mean, telling someone what they can't wear...nope. But still, he wasn't a bad guy, despite his weird insistence to the contrary. He knew right from wrong, and did his best to treat Lucy with care. Overall, I liked the friends-to-lovers plot. The story told the tale of how Lucy, insecure because of her cheating boyfriend who also made her feel bad about herself, made an agreement with Gideon who knew her ex was cheating, and who had always loved her from afar. Lucy made a contract with Gideon to find her a husband, as well as offer her lessons in intimacy. I thought it was well-done overall, and I'm intrigued to look up Katee Robert's backlist.
