it hasn’t been that long since i read the first one yet the lore was very confusing for me which i guess is part of it but it’s still an easy read! i agree with reviewers who didn’t enjoy the ending as much but osi is a protagonist who things happen to him, the story revolves around what’s happening around him. he tries to take part but he quickly realizes that he’s a victim of circumstance and of the power structures that keep them all subjugated to the whims of the leaders. tutu’s story got warped, osi’s got stomped on. i will be reading the third novella as i’m intrigued and now it follows a scholar.
