Gathering Moss: A Natural and Cultural History of Mosses by Robin Wall Kimmerer

4.0

Things I loved: the discussion on intermediate disturbance, the chapter about sphagnum, the moss milkshake, and the conflicting morals about supporting forest products while wanting to promote conservation of old growth-dependent species.

Things I did not love: anything related to moss physiology. I would read Robin Wall Kimmerer's grocery lists but wow, this was a strong reminder of why I didn't take moss/lichen ID in post secondary.
